Many thanks Mr
Vsevolod Lavrentiev of
www.stampvilla.com in Moldova
for his invaluable assistance in
providing me with new issues
information.
In this
project I obtained substantial
aid from the Moldovan collector
Mr Vladimir Babich, an expert in
the contemporary postal history
Of Moldova and Transnistria.
Mr. Babich is the former
Chairman of the Administration
of the Moldavian department of
the Union of Philatelists of the
USSR. He is also the author of
various articles on the history
of the mail and philately Of
Moldova. He participated in the
publication of the first
Moldovan postage stamps in 1991.
Mr. Babich kind-heartedly
permitted that his name and
eMail be published here. If you
are a serious collector and
would like to enter into a
dialogue with Mr. Babich, then
he would be happy for you to
contact him at

Thanks also to
Mr Gurgen Vardanyan in Vilnius,
Lithuania. Gurgen is a great
stamp dealer and has helped me
to put together a wonderful
collection of PMR stamps
including some very rare early
material and for very reasonable
prices.
Thanks also to
Mr Hermann Kisselev of the Kiev
Philately Club in Ukraine for
allowing me unrestricted access
to his wonderful news archives
(in English and Russian). The
excellent Ukrafil site is
available at
http://www.ukrafil.com/en
and is filled with fantastic
information for collectors of
Russian stamps as well as the
issues from all the former
Soviet Union countries. |
